AFRICAN CLAWED FROG - Eradication campaign

A population of the African clawed frog, Xenopus laevis (Wagler, 1827), was discovered in the municipality of Oeiras in 2006. Since then, a partnership of public institutions has been committed to the eradication of this species, likely established after an incidental introduction in the 70's.
