YOUNG SCIENTIST OF THE YEAR (2016)

After worldwide media coverage, my recent paper published in Ecology "Warm vegetarians? Heat waves and diet shifts in tadpoles" received an award from one of the largest freshwater aquariums in Europe - Fluviário de Mora. The prize "Young Scientist of the Year" is awarded every year to the best article on freshwater research, published by Master or Doctoral students. This award received ample coverage by the Portuguese media: RTP, Público, Sapo24, CM Jornal, Observador, Destak, Notícias ao Minuto, Wilder, AuriNegra, Mais Superior, Porto Canal, Elvas News, Imprensa Regional, Região de Cister, O Alcôa. Earlier this year, my Doctoral thesis had also been distinguished with the prize of "Best Portuguese Doctoral Thesis", awarded by the Iberian Limnological Association.

Following these two prizes, I was a guest in the TV show Civil Society (RTP2). This show explores different aspects and problems of the Portuguese society and on this episode "Outstanding Portuguese professionals", it gathered successful professionals in different fields, to discuss career challenges.
